Job Summary

Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, an award-winning family friendly resort located in Highland, NY, is seeking a talented Housekeeping Manager to deliver excellence in service to our guests and exceed cleanliness and sanitation standards. You will be responsible for 113 guest rooms and all common areas on property. You will assist in the supervision of 30 team members, demonstrating knowledge of all operations, room types, and house count to effectively respond to resort demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all room flips, particularly on heavy turnover days
  • Manage and perform our room inspection process
  • Responsible for product inventory, budgets, schedules, process and procedure implementation
  • On Boarding and training of new team members
  • Manage laundry operations to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Schedule third party outside vendors and ensure their work is to the safety and workmanship standards expected
  • Communicate with other departments as necessary to complete ad hoc housekeeping requests
  • Follow and enforce all established procedures when using chemicals and other cleaning products

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of housekeeping leadership experience required
  • Ability to work on your feet throughout the day and lift 50+ lbs
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Strong work ethic, adept at multi-tasking, and a true team player
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays
  • Strong computer software skills (such as Microsoft Office) and ability to learn/use/implement Resort Suites
