Job Description

Turk Hospitality Group, a growing hospitality organization focused on boutique resort properties in the Hudson Valley, is seeking a talented Human Resources Assistant. This position will be responsible for assisting the Payroll & Benefits manager, in all aspects, and supporting the Accounting and individual Operations departments.


  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office suites
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines efficiently
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, adept at multi-tasking, and a team player
  • Ability to utilize discretion and best judgment when handling confidential information
  • Payroll and Benefits experience a plus
  • Experience with working in an HRIS system a plus


  • Assist with employee relations issues;
  • Assist with onboarding process including coordination and follow-up of new hire paperwork;
  • Leaves of Absence administration, tracking, and reporting including FMLA, Workers’ Comp, NY Paid Family Leave, and Disability;
  • Serve as full back-up to Payroll & Benefits Manager;
  • Maintain complete human resources files on all employees including personnel, benefit and LOA files;
  • Maintain job websites, conduct background checks and respond to unemployment and verification of employment inquiries;
  • Assist managers and supervisors with candidate interviews;
  • Respond to management and employee inquiries;
  • Update and maintain all required employment forms and postings;
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
